Armoire · Last updated 11 October 2026

The short version. Armoire has no account and no server. Your photos, clothes, outfits and plans are stored only on your phone, and I never receive any of them. There are no ads, analytics or tracking.

Who I am

Armoire is made by Thomas Martin, an independent developer in the United Kingdom. You can reach me at hello@thomas-martin.uk.

What Armoire stores, and where

Everything you add is kept on your device, in Armoire's own storage:

Background removal (using Apple's Vision framework) and colour detection run entirely on your phone. Your photos are never uploaded for processing.

Armoire doesn't sync to a server, so I don't have a copy of anything. If your iPhone backs up to iCloud or to a computer, Armoire's data is included in that backup like any other app's, under Apple's terms and your settings.

Sharing from websites

When you share a product page or picture to Armoire from Safari or another app, your phone downloads the picture (or the page's preview image) directly from that website, without cookies. The website sees an ordinary request from your phone, including its IP address. Nothing passes through me.

Home Screen widget

To show today's outfit, Armoire writes a small summary of it to storage shared only with its own widget and share extension, on your phone.

Permissions

You can change these in your phone's Settings at any time.

Purchases

Armoire Unlimited is a one-off in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. I don't receive your name, Apple ID or payment details. Apple only gives me anonymised sales reports.

What I don't do

Armoire contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs, and doesn't track you across other apps or websites. I don't sell or share any data, because I don't have any. If you've opted in to sharing analytics with developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may send me anonymised crash reports and usage statistics.

Deleting your data

Delete an item or outfit in the app to remove it. Deleting Armoire from your phone removes everything it stored there. Images you saved to Photos or shared elsewhere aren't affected.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal data, including access and deletion. Because Armoire never sends your data to me, everything is already under your control on your device. If you have a question, email hello@thomas-martin.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

Armoire isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update it here and change the date at the top.
