Mnemonic Password
Remember the picture, not the password.
Inspired by the film Johnny Mnemonic. Pick a photo and Mnemonic turns the image's data into a strong password. The same photo always gives the same password, so to get it back you only need to remember which picture you used.

- Choose a photoPick any image from your library.
- Create a passwordMnemonic fingerprints the image (SHA-256) and turns it into a 20-character password, like
abc12-DEF34-ghi56-JKL78. - Copy and use itReveal it if you like, then copy it into your password manager or a sign-up form.
Keep the original
The password comes from the exact file. An edited, cropped or re-saved copy, or one sent through a messaging app, gives a different password. Keep the original photo safe, and don't share it.
Privacy
Mnemonic works entirely on your phone. It doesn't connect to the internet, doesn't save your passwords, and has no ads, analytics or tracking. The privacy policy has the details.
